Kive's primary goal is to help you find precisely what you need when you need it. Therefore, we have developed an advanced AI search functionality, rendering all content uploaded to Kive fully searchable. Here's how best to utilize our search features for optimal results:
✍️ Text Search
Our text search is designed to facilitate the swift and accurate retrieval of images from your library. Follow these steps to perform a text search:
In the search bar, enter a descriptive text that best represents the image you're looking for.
The more specific your search terms, the more precise your search results will be.
🖼️ Image Search
The image search feature allows you to initiate a search based on an existing image as a reference. To use the image search:
Click on the image icon located to the right of the search bar.
Drag and drop an image, upload one from your device, or paste the image link source.
📍 Tag Search
Tags added manually to your items are visible both at the top of your item view. Follow these steps to perform a tag search:
Click on a specific tag to generate a search for items associated with that tag.
This feature is particularly useful if you have tagged your items with keywords that help you locate them easily.
You can also search for a tag in the search bar, but remember to click on the result with a tag icon next to it, to perform your tag search.
🎨 Color Search
Our color search feature enables you to filter your search results based on image colors. To utilize the color search:
Drag the color picker to select your desired color.
Alternatively, insert a specific HEX code or RGB numbers to find a very specific color.
📹 GIF filter
By clicking the GIF filter, you can automatically filter your search results to display all the GIFs available in your library or in the Discover section.
Please note that the color and GIF search filters become available after your initial search.
✨ AI or not
Customize your search results just the way you like it.
Simply click on the 'AI' filter to either include or leave out AI-generated images.
FAQ - Search
Where can I use the search feature?
You can search for items in both your Library and in Discover. The search logic works the same for both. You can also toggle between them.
Can I search both the Library and Discover at the same time?
Currently, the Library and Discover have separate search flows, so simultaneous searching is not available.
Can I search in a board?
As of now, it is not possible to search within a board. We are however working on it.
Why don't I get any good results when searching?
Ensure that you are searching in the appropriate library (Discover or your Library).
If you're searching in your own Library, make sure you have uploaded items that match your search criteria.
Our search results are generated based on the "CLIP model" aiming to find the closest possible matches. If no direct matches are found, we display the item that closely resembles your search.
If you cannot find any results in your library, try searching in Discover to find new items that match your search criteria.
Why are my tagged items not showing when I search for them?
To search for a tag in the search bar, you need to actively click on the alternative that has a tag logo next to it.
